Batts {the wedding}

Melissa and Allen were married in January at their home church on Fairview Loop.

Allen was so very dapper in his custom tailored wool suit.   I made sure that he was thankful for that warm wool by taking him outside into the snow as much as possible.

And check out the adorable hand crocheted boutonniere flowers with the keys! I love unique touches like this!
There was so much joy surrounding Melissa during her prep.

I asked Melissa if she had a special scripture for the day… she pointed it out in her very much loved and underlined Bible. You can sure tell this is a special passage.

Gorgeous! And I love that veil, Melissa! So classy with your cute little pixie cut!

We had one of the groomsmen shovel us a path to the woods and we made some photos in the gorgeous snow frosted forest!  Perfect setting for Melissa’s creamy skin.

And then Allen came to meet up with her… they held hands around a corner before they saw each other… then Allen blindfolded himself with his grey scarf and was led to his beautiful bride for their first glimpse of each other on the day that forever transformed their love.

So happy to be in each other’s arms.

Check out this gorgeous chair from BeVintage Rentals! It is so cute in the deep snow with Melissa’s flowers!

Classic!

And then the wedding party joined them outdoors.  It was such a frosty chilly day, I was sure thankful for the hand muffs that Melissa provided for her lady attendants.

In the moments before the ceremony, Melissa took a moment to write a few thoughts into her journal. I’m sure it will become one of her favorite entries to look back on!

It’s time!

Married!

As soon as they were wed, I sprinted to the reception site to record their fun decor:

I always love the thumbprint tree guest book! So fun!

The wedding supper was family style salad and bread bowl with beef stew or salmon chowder! So delicious!

I love the little girls’ delight over her ring!

And then came the sparkler getaway!

We met up with Melissa and Allen for a few “after photos” in the pitch black darkness:

LOVE the twinkle in Melissa’s eyes:

GORGEOUS!!

Instead of an engagement session, Melissa and Allen opted for a “day after” session.  We met up at Hatchers pass for an hour to make just a few more stunning images.

Beautiful eyes, lady!

I think these two are going to have some real fun together!

Melissa and Allen: thanks so much for allowing Samantha and I to be a part of your gorgeous wedding! It was so super beautiful!
And here are some fun outtakes that Samantha got of me during the day:
And even the photographer likes to photo bomb every now and again… haha. 🙂
