A + A = 5 years of fun

I am really enjoying having a bit of a breather in between shooting weddings… and it gives me some time to shoot some of my favorite subjects:  family!

AJ and my sister Amberly have been married for 5 years now… going on 6…as a stepping stone to 90.   And by this April they will be presenting me with my newest niece. (At least *I* think she’ll be a girl.)  I can’t wait.  I’m stocking up on the pink just in case.    All that to say, we had to get on it.  There is only a limited time window to record the fun of their relationship as it is now, B.D.   (Before Daughter, heehee) and Amberly IS starting to show, but just barely.

We did our shoot in downtown Colonial Wasilla.  These were original Wasilla buildings from when the town was little more then a couple of  tents.  If they were still around, I could just kiss those Colonists for painting the barn red.  They were pretty nice to do that just for me. 😉

A lot of my brides from this last year will recognise Amberly since she assisted me at a LOT of weddings.  She was really fabulous.  So it is about time we got her to let go of the lightstand and plant herself on the other side of the camera.

They are laughing at me. . . I guess I did something that my sister always does. Sick. 🙂

Haha, I love this series… I had them snuggled up to this wall for some pretty romantic photos, and the snow was really melting in the warm sunlight. The roof let loose and  dripped a drop of slush right into AJ’s ear.  Nature’s wet willy.

Love this one sooo much:

So for a last shot, I’ll share this: I really am a sucker for a tasty bit of golden flair.  So warm and gooey.

And for another piece of inconsequential information: When my huz and I go to Isreal in January (!) Amberly and AJ are going coming along as part of the tour!   We are going to have much fun. 🙂 And just maybe there’ll be a shot or two to share of me… since I am going to make sure Amberly has a camera on throughout.
