Craig {the wedding}

Deana & Dakota Craig

Kenai Senior Center, Kenai Alaska

June 30, 2012

Deana and Dakota won Alaska’s “weather lottery” for their wedding day…. Their outdoor ceremony was held in the most amazing sunshine Alaska saw pretty much the entire summer!

Venue: Kenai Senior Citizen Center
Food: Kenai Catering (Bobbi)
Cake: Safeway-Carrs Homer (Holli)
Flowers: Safeway-Carrs Kenai
DJ: APE (Martin)
Hair and Make-up: Maxim Hair Design (Kelsey Morris)

Kelsey from Maxim did such a fabulous job on Deana’s hair. Sooo pretty! I love how each curl looks like a rosebud.

We drove on over to the house where the groom and the groomsmen were getting ready. Despite being sent the wrong sized jacket Dakota was ready and unflustered right on time.

So handsome!

Deana’s flowers had photos of her grandmothers as young women tied to the stem with pretty ribbons.

Gorgeous! Love the birds in in the background and the wild flowers in the foreground!

Dakota waited in the nearby park for the first glimpse of his gorgeous bride.

Such pretty eyes Deana!

I love fountains and the options they present!

Back at the Senior Center we played with the bridesmaids and groomsmen for a while. You can tell that this crew has fun!

Deana and her brother cracked up during their little mini session.

Its that time!  🙂 Ceremony!

Dakota’s father passed away when he was a small child… there was a chair set up with a very special photo in his remembrance.

Love the sign of family unity!

Deana’s dad sure was a proud man through the entire day!  And he should be… she is stunning!

Time for the reception! Deana’s family and friends worked tirelessly for days preparing this gorgeous celebration!

Each wineglass had a unique charm on the stem as a party favor! What a fun gift!

The food was just how I love it: super healthy yet tasty!

What a sweet first dance! The heartfealt toasts had the bride and groom really laughing! The dance floor was certainly spiced up with Martin from Alaska Professional Entertainment’s really gorgeous colored uplighting!

Deana’s father gives some tearful advice to the couple:

The Green Bay Packer’s garter was a surprise for Dakota!

Dakota’s grandparents walk together at the end of the evening…

The music pumped up the crowd as they danced the night away!

At the end of the evening, the sun was still shining brightly.
Thanks so much to Deana and Dakota for sharing their wedding with us!
