Branda and James {Wedding}

{September 18, 2010} Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge

This set is killing me.  I need to learn how to pick favorites just a bit better, because I love pretty much every single photo.  Therefore, brace yourself and your  bandwidth for a rather large photo posting…. it is gonna be big.  But I hope you like it.

What to say about this gorgeous couple?    I found Branda to be one of the most beautiful gals (inside and out) that I have ever worked with. And on a girls wedding day is when you can really tell.  Branda’s insides are all sweetness.  James has the hots for Branda, and he sure shows it.

The morning of the wedding, we drove through tons of fog to get to the gorgeous weather and beautiful setting in Talkeetna.  I was pretty excited because I know that the staff at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge always do such a nice job of hosting weddings :

We met up with Branda just as she was getting the finishing touches on her makeup. (Done by Branda’s sister in law… a fabulous job too!)Kara rocked the jewelry, dress and shoe shots! Loved having her along for the day!Such pretty eyes! Meanwhile, the boys were in another room getting James ready…. I always love to do the groom’s photos first… It gives the bride a teeny bit more time to finish up.James’ mom snuck into a couple. I love this 🙂Branda and James chose to do thier photos together  before the wedding.  (Three cheers for James and Branda! Seriously, my favorite!)  So they got to have a first glimpse.  Sooo sweet, huh.  ^By Kara

Branda chose to spend a little time with her parents in her room before the ceremony… It was a fun time filled with a mixture of laughter and tears, as those times often are.

Check out those shoes! Love your style, Branda!

 The cake was done by Cakes by Stephanie.  Wanna know a secret?  Since I go to so many weddings, I don’t eat wedding cake …. unless… it was made by Stephanie.  Her’s are the tastiest, by far!  Worth every calorie, let me tell ya.

These reception food detail shots make me hungry. Halibut… prime rib…. bacon wrapped scallops (mmmm!) and lots of other yummies that make my mouth water.

^Love that shot, Kara! 🙂

Branda had it all planned out for her father & daughter dance…  She played the song that *always* makes her dad cry.

And this is my faaavorite shot of the day: Branda’s dad totally cracking up!

This is the cutest flower toss photo ever made.  Branda you are adorable! 🙂

The party continued long after we had to go… A beautiful wedding.

Thanks so much to Branda and James for choosing us to be a part of your wedding! We had so much fun!  I wish all couples were as sweet and beautiful as you two!  And a special thanks to Kara Pennington for second shooting for me… Your photos rock!
