The Lonewolf Wedding

Dakota & Alan

Alaska Native Heritage Center

If there ever was one that was excited about his wedding it was Alan… I think he broke the record for the shortest time it took to get from Palmer to Anchorage for his wedding.  He was that excited.

Looking good, Alan!

I had never seen these Groom’s Toms before! Stylish! Alan said: “I am just wearing what she told me to.” Haha, thats a good groom for you. 🙂

The junkyard dogs:

Then we met up with Dakota and her ladies at the Ship Creek Comfort Inn…

I love her two rings… So perfect.

Gorgeous, Dakota!

Stunning! I have this one printed big and it is a thing of beauty!

Then back to the Native Heritage Center for some quick photos before ceremony.

Dakota’s Jr Bridesmaid has a special place in her heart.  Look at those adorable dimples!!

While the Bride is the center of attention on her wedding day… these two sure gave her a run for her money! Dakota and Alan’s daughter’s were adorable in their matching dresses!

The ceremony started with one of Dakota’s dad’s bringing her down the aisle.

The flowergirls took their job very seriously… they put out the petals and picked them all up several times through the ceremony.

The Bahai ceremony was very special, with lots of words of blessing and advice read by various important members of Dakota and Alan’s lives.

Then we spent 1/2 hour photographiing the newly married couple, while guests enjoyed the bar and appetizers.

This was the ultimate reception for a man! Smokehouse Barbecue provided every kind of  meat that you could want… The ribs were amazing! But my second shooter, Scott, enjoyed trying the Muktuk.  I loved the smoked salmon, myself.

I loved the birch bark cake. So unique!

Oh I think this might be my favorite garter photo of all time! Dakota and Alan’s little girl is giving him a helping hand!

1st Dance

Between her heartfelt toast and the tears of joy streaming down her cheeks during the mother son dance, I fell in love with Alan’s mama.   She seems like such a sweetie.

Nobody ever enjoys dancing as much as the children!  These two had some serious moves!!!

Not to be outdone, even great Grandma gets in on it.   As we left, the party was only just beginning.
Dakota and Alan, Thanks so much for including us in your day! Your wedding was lovely!
