Little Miss J turns One!
Sometimes, the best light is to be had in the early morning Chyanne and Nathan got up early enough that we could start before dawn… and even in a blizzard!

I love the way those diamonds look against the snow! So beautiful!
Meet Jose and Malissa! Alaska’s most fun couple! They chose to spend their engagement session at the Fur Rhondy carnival… playing and laughing in the cold! If their engagement session during the cold winter was this much fun, can you imagine how much fun their wedding in the middle of summer is going to be?
I love how you can see the carnival in the reflections of the candy apples!
Samantha and John
O’Malley’s on the Green; Anchorage Alaska
Samantha is a dancer… and for her it truly is all about the shoes. They are stunning!
Her gown was gorgeous! It was a team effort to steam it to perfection!
Such delicate rings! So dainty!
Samantha’s sister put the flowers together and they were beautiful!
We talked Samantha into going outside despite the cold and I just ADORE the Gown against the white of the snow and the evergreens.
What a bright smile!
These are so beautiful!
John came to join her for their first glimpse.
She removed his blindfold and…
He loved what he saw!
We came inside to photograph Samantha and her beautiful bridesmaids up against the fireplace.
Laurell David with iDo Events had been working her magic… creating the fairytale wedding of Samantha’s dreams!
And then it was time.
In another room, John had a new experience… he filled out his own marriage license! As a marriage commissioner, he helps other couples fill out theirs on a daily basis!
When they came back to the reception, John swept her into a dip! What an entrance!
The chef at O’Malley’s had been cooking up a beautiful feast! It was some of the best cooking I had had experienced at O’Malley, and that is saying something.
So much love was shared with the toasts!
The First Dance
Samantha was swept and twirls around the dance floor by a very sweet family friend. It was magical!
And then the party really began. Even Grandma and grandpa got out on the floor.
At the end of the evening, Samantha and John took a walk outside in the crisp evening air to spend a few moments alone. What a beautiful beginning to a lifetime of love.

Trynnity and Daniel Peña
I loved Trynnity’s unstructured fishbone braid! So pretty!
These two are so excited to welcome their new baby boy sometime around Christmas!
We were taking photos in the hallway when Trynnity’s dad came out of the room to see her for the first time. These two are so tenderhearted, they both just wept.
Trynnity gave all of her bridesmaids really beautiful bracelets! Each one felt so loved and special.
She came out from behind a bouquet of balloons for her first glimpse with Daniel.
He stayed focused on his groomsmen while she crept up behind him.
And then they cried and fell into each other’s arms.
Good looking couple!
Of course we had to do some photos up in the pirate ship!
And a little playing with swords! Looks like Wendy has the upper hand here!
Daniel and his groomsmen looked very posh!
As friends and family gathered on the deck, the sun came out! Grandma told me that she had prayed for the rain to stop and it did! Everyone got a chuckle at the cute little girls hopping off the stairs!
Lookout! It’s almost time!
The adorable flower girls led the way!
What a backdrop for saying your vows!
Somehow Daniel kept it together without crying, but it was tough!
I don’t think there was a dry eye in attendance!
After the first kiss, someone said, “Oops! You forgot to exchange rings!” So they exchanged rings, and then went in for a second kiss!
Mr. and Mrs. Peña!
Trynnity and Daniel decided to take a few moments to themselves. They hadn’t really relaxed the entire day… so a little downtime to enjoy their new spouse was very welcome.
I took that as an opportunity to play with those rings! So pretty!
The food was all tasty thanks to the crew at Master’s Catering
As she went to serve him mashed potatoes, she pretended to throw some on him. It was adorable!
During dinner, the sky cleared off and we were treated to a gorgeous view of the glacier across the bay! Pure beauty, right there!
The toasts were sweet and loving, and sometimes downright hilarious!
One of the sweetest of all relationships is between father and daughter. During their dance, Trynnity’s dad just hid his face in her shoulder and cried. His baby girl!
We took a break from the festivities and walked down to the ocean right at sunset. The sky was just starting to darken.
The lodge was all lit up with lights.
Best wishes for Daniel and Trynnity and that new baby! We are wishing you a lifetime filled with love and beauty to match your wedding day!
