Rogers {the wedding}

Oh, I just love it when Alaska shows off for my bride and grooms!  Here we were, the first day of April, and the sky was bluer than blue… and while it WAS chilly, we were still able to make some amazing photos outdoors.

I was pretty excited for this wedding for a couple of reasons…. #1, the wedding was held at the Palmer Depot, which is super fun since that happens to be the same place I said my vows to my sweet huz almost 14 years ago….  and #2, because I got to try out my new assistant, Michael.  He did great, by the way. You’ll see a few of his photos in this set, and if you are a bride, chances are you’ll meet him in a month or two because he is going to be working with me a lot. :o)

Here are three pretty shots of his, in fact:

Poor Shelley had the worlds worst cold for her wedding day, but you sure can’t tell from the photos! She looks amazing! Even with as sick as she was, I was very impressed at her dogged determination to make the most of her day.

undefinedWhen she was a girl, Shelley and her dad used to work the train switches, so this was a fun photo for us to be able to make for them! 🙂

Check out this good looking crew! The complete Rogers family! I love it!
You can’t have kids without having a couple silly photos in the mix! Love how their daughter is just looking on, with a big grin! 🙂
undefinedBut we gotta have some nice ones too! 🙂
undefined We had a few minutes to get some fun ring shots.

Shelley’s son played the wedding march on his trumpet VERY well…
Martin from Alaska Professional Entertainment was on hand to entertain us!
This was sooo hilarious… Shelley’s middle school son was sooo super excited to catch the garter…. that is… until he found out what it meant.  Haha! I love it!
I’ll leave you with this last shot of the couple… So sweet! 🙂
