The Neal Wedding

You know that old song by Nat King Cole that goes: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return”?

Mercedes found her Paul Green wedding day heels at Nordstrom in Anchorage

Mercedes and Jay have learned it well.

Mercedes got ready in the crows nest executive suite of the Captain Cook Hotel. The views were spectacular, the room was gorgeous, but the richness in the room was overshadowed by her simple elegance.

Mercedes used her grandmothers antique clutch and coin purse to hold her wedding day things. It was a sweet reminder of her Grandmother’s presence and exquisite taste.
Mercedes was luxuriously pampered every moment by Jenn @hairbyjennak, as Jenn worked her magic on hair and makeup. I love the classic look she chose!
Jay’s ring held a place of pride… she was so excited to become his wife.
Down the hall, we peeked in on Jay… He was getting gussied up!
Jay’s Calvin Klein Tux was purchased from Men’s Warehouse in Anchorage
I love LOVE his handlebar mustache!
He’s pretty handsome!
Carr’s Floral on Huffman is the mastermind behind these gorgeous stems!
Mercedes found her stunning Stella York Gown at Bateau Bridal Boutique in Anchorage.
Mercedes’ daughter led Jay to his bride with a blindfold! When it fell away, there was that unmistakable sparkle in his eye.
She’s so glamorous! And that dress! So perfect on her!
We did a few family photos outside The Bridge Restaurant. I love the response of Mercedes’ daughter and Jay’s son as they kissed!
As guests began to arrive everyone gathered around.
The wedding was officiated by Cian Mulhern with Celtic Ministries. John “Pypes” Teamer sang a song.
They made it official!
… and then her daughter bustled the gown.
What an elegant cheese bar!
The appetizers that the fine chefs at The Bridge Restaurant set out for Mercedes and Jay’s guests were amazing! Hand pressed crab cakes and an assortment of cheeses… plus shrimp kabobs!
Lorell from IDo Events made every second of the wedding day so smooth. And the decorations were so simple but elegantly done! Mercedes really didn’t have to stress about this one bit!
So beautifully done!
Dinner at The Bridge is always delicious and this was no exception. The chefs are amazing! What a feast of celebration!
Can you believe this cake is a cheese cake!? I think that’s the best idea I have ever heard of! It was made by the bride’s good friend, Emilie Turner.
We went outside and the rains came…
But that didn’t stop them from having a moment.

Congratulations to Mercedes and Jay! We wish you a lifetime of moments just as beautiful as your wedding day!
